If its not been done already, book it in for September-ish time
I did question the dealership regarding the safety and i was told that due to a fire risk they strongly advise the car not to be driven. I'm sure there are plenty of cars out there that are being used without the recall work having been carried out.

Anyway had a call today saying the service and recall work has been carried out and the car is ready for collection. So that's 1 week they kept the car for and after numerous apologies by the service manager i was asked to hand over £445, thats considerably cheaper than the £550 i was originally quoted for the service.

Long overdue update:

An oil service and inspection was due and decided against using a dealership this time. After reading a few reviews on here about independent servicing options I decided to go with CPC. Booked in for earlier this week, arrived and must say their level of service has to be one of the best around. The car has not done many miles in recent years so I asked them to give it a good looking over which they did.

Seriously if anyone is looking for a garage to have any work carried out CPC are definitely worth talking to.

I have HSD coilovers on my Biturbo and earlier monoturbo alloys as they are wider.
Also for the non oem people I have M3 lower control arms on the front which is a nice upgrade so one you could possibly research as it helps tighten things up at the front end

Hi,

Also owner of a D3 Biturbo #114 - I am looking at a suspension refresh on mine as it is not on coil overs but feels like its sitting too low. Don't get my wrong it looks great but think I have some tired springs. I have been thinking do i.....
1 - full std refresh, seen BMR did this recently for around £1750
2 - Do I got for a more modern set up, ie KW V2 coil overs, I like the idea of adjustable dampening so I can fine tune the ride.

Like you the car is a long term ride for me, no plans to sell. So the originality thing is OK with me. I am a firm believer that OEM+ is as good as OEM and being that the B3 GTS came with KW V2's then it is actually an OEM upgrade. I'm also looking at fitting the 330i brakes as they are also an OEM+ upgrade.

Questions,
Can I ask though, with the KW V2's did you change the top mount? or do you keep the Alpina Top Mount, as I think the geometry is slightly different on the D3 Bt to the standard Msport or Se set up.
Also one more things, does the M3 bottom arms give you more camber? or are they just a stiffer set up which then aid's turn in.

Thanks Mark.
