Good luck with this (honestly). There are 4 B5 cars and one B5s touring. I know two of the b5 cars will have one or two in the queue already! But you never know and it's good to see an enthusiast coming into the fold. Nice Alfa collection btw - all about the Busso. 8)

Well, I can point you towards most of the owners if you want.

Of the B5’s:
#007 and #010 the owners are on here
#056 I think ali knows where this lives in Edinburgh.
#009 was stolen and never recovered.
#048 (LHD) I think is still owned by another member here

B5S #132 is apparently owned by a garage owner near Derby

Brilliant cars. You can rule 007 out as I can't see me ever selling. 010 sold last year back to a previous owner and we met up at Caffeine and Machine last month. No contact with 056 the Edinburgh one other than I spoke to a friend of the owner some time back who confirmed she was in regular use and the owner just isn't a forum person. I've recently made contact with the B5S owner 132 who has been bringing back to fine fettle. 2 maybe 3 of us will be at Caffeine and Machine's August German night (SK) if you want to look at them even if nobody will part with one!

Cheers,

Jules

PS Hedge that is a brilliantly eclectic mix of cars - 2CV to Delta Integrate to Atom!

I know the owner of 056 in edinburgh and I was offered the car a couple of years back
Various reasons the sale didn't work out but long story short the owner then dumped a pile of cash into the car and has decided to keep it for a lomg time so can't see it coming on the market anytime soon. If he gets in touch I can let you know.

The B5S is looked after by us at BMR performance. We completed an engine rebuild on it last year with a new block and pistons and have done a lot of other work to it.

I doubt he would sell either.

Still can't figure out why more people didn't buy these cars from new, in the UK. Together with the original owner of #010, I had to twist Sytner's arm to import any of them!

The good news is, the E61 B5 cars should retain their value like no other BMW of that vintage - even back in 2008, the chap who bought #007 from me learned the hard way that when there is only one seller of a commodity, and someone really wants to buy it, it doesn't come cheaply!

Not sure whether there were any RHD cars sold to Japan, which could in theory be imported?

There don't appear to be many E61 B5's in Japan either, there are only 4 I can see in the Archive and 2 of those are LHD. The other 2 are RHD but one is White with Beige Dakota :? and the other is now in Thailand and has been repainted dark green.
There are 26 cars unaccounted for in the Archive though so may be another 1 (maybe 2) RHD's still out there.

Hedge - would you consider a LHD? #108 is up for sale: https://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/deta ... =329271273

As an LCI it would be possible to upgrade to B5S spec too!

Not a B5 but a lovely similar vintage 400bhp B3s tourer? Equally as rare and quick

That’s a great buy for someone, wish I could justify buying it. Difficult to value I suspect

251 pictured right has been modestly advertised this summer but a lot of no shows a couple with good reasons the rest just virtual tyre kickers.
