Thinking of getting a B10 Touring

Post by woolley11 » Wed Feb 10, 2021 5:01 pm

I've just joined up on the Alpina Register and am thinking of trying to source a B10 Touring.

I think a 3.3 would be preferable but am still reading write ups on them to decide on the want that would suit.

Just interested to see what is available out there or likely to come up in the not too distant future.

Hi and welcome

Rare cars, just keep looking at the usual places for one to appear and be prepared to move quickly. Have you seen this one?

Might be sold now though?

Mk1 Camapign, very nice indeed. What colour?

Hi

Thanks for the welcome

Yes seen that one at Jamespaul, but they've taken a deposit on it apparently. Yes the right cars will fly out the door I guess.

I'm still familiarising myself with the specs and engines so looking at any buying guides I can find on the internet.

GTi is Alpine White - nice to e-meet a fellow enthusiast judging by your signature

Ah they look lovely in white 8)
Always loved how the green tinted glass really stood out on white cars. Yes I love Mk1s, very special in my eyes and I’m sure yours too.
We will keep a look out for you and post on this thread as they come up. Each variant offers different things, but commonly the Alpina magic means they are really super cars. You just need to find one that’s been loved and looked after, for the sake of your wallet!
Lots of great information on here over the years and plenty of folk on the forum who will help with answering any questions or advice. In fact often the previous owners of cars are still here or lurkers!
Best of luck in your search.

This might be of interest, can’t share it as it’s a closed group. Priced high compared to the James Paul one @£12500 and 147,000 miles

Nice find Toby, looks like #047 which has been keeping a low profile all these years. It's the only LCI 3.3 Touring in ALPINA Blue afaik.

Crikey, surprised it’s sold at that price unless the trader realised and jumped ship?

He was getting quite a bit of grief so it seems more likely he's pulled the ad, unless like you suggest, he's flipped it.

I did smile at that thread, but he also had a thread on the buy/sell page that got more heated, but it's been taken down now.
