OBD Code Readers

Post by JASV8S » Fri Dec 23, 2022 7:00 pm

Looking for advice on a reasonably priced OBD Code Reader that would suit my 2002 B10. Not trying to do anything complicated just be able to check for errors and possibly code some settings if that's possible. Any advice and previous experiences welcome.

Merry Christmas to everyone.

Any £20 blue tooth code reader from Amazon & the Torque Pro app (and Google to check codes etc) will get you started. If you have a problem to solve, find some one local with a Carly. They're not worth forking out for a subscription but are an in between level sitting between the bluetooth billy basic and all the bells and whistles of a geek and a laptop.

JAS,

I have the carly App, more than willing to meet up and read codes etc. for you saves you buying a subscription.
I haven't paid for my subscription yet as I was an early user and I was grandfathered over to the new subscription model.

Drop me a PM if I can help mate.

Exactly the same here, in Bolton. I just upgraded to the “expert mechanic” module for a one-off fee and also have the battery registration module.

I have a rolling ‘non-subscription’ for BMW only as I’ve been with them since the early years, saved a bit of money over time.
