Red oil light flickering on idle e46 B3s

Hap idle speed does look rather low, the M3 idles at 800 and the track car with the B52 is 1000.

Not sure about the alpina, but the track car has a small grub screw to allow you to adjust the idle speed, although the ecu does control it.

My E46 B3S also idles, in neutral, at around 750/800.

Further update 4 days since last drive and the blasted yellow DSC triangle and yellow handbrake came on stayed on short drive parked up for a good 30 mins and started car no lights at all arghhhh
Will be getting this checked in addition to oil light which didn’t come on today

Interesting to read your last post. Mine started doping that last year. I had the same faulty lights and some interesting idle speeds. Turned out my idle control valve was knackered. is your car dropping into limp mode when the warning lights come up?

Car is driving ok and idle normal no change in my experience but other owners say it’s slightly low
Pls no I don’t want limp mode either
