Real or fake

Post by donnysoutherner » Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:22 pm

Hi all, I’m new to the forum and learning as I go!
I have an 8 series BMW 840, unfortunately not a B12 Alpina. I bought it with what a badged as Alpina wheels on it. They are not B12 wheels but can anyone tell me if they are even genuine Alpina? I think I have put a photo in the attachments, but like I say, still learning!

They look like reps/fakes. They’re a version of the C96 split rim which was an option on the E39 B10’s but those wheels have a flat not crinkly centre cap. If they’re genuine, ALPINA will be stamped somewhere, probably under the centre cap

Thanks very much for all your help. I quite like the wheels (they are round I promise) so it looks like time to get some new wheel badges!

Slap a bmw wheel centre badge on there and they’ll be right
