Hi everyone
I have a 1994 Alpina b3 3.0 LHD
5 speed manual build number 140,
Am thinking of selling the car and would like an idea of value,
The car has covered 300000kms
Has all the original paperwork and service history from cuntz speyer Germany,
The car was imported to the Uk in 2004 where I bought from a close friend of mine,
I used the car for a number of years and kept on top of maintenance only replacing wear and tear items with oem parts,
Such as lower wishbones. Drop links and brake pads
Basically whilst using a guy at work reversed in to the front of the car damaging the bonnet, wing door, front panel and nose cone and headlight etc,
There is no damage to the chassis rails,
I have since sourced only original Bmw parts,
New bonnet
Wing,
Door, replacement headlights front panel and radiator etc,
I even went to the extent of the car I was using as a donor to remove all the door rubbers, headlining, lights, tool kit, center arm rest, power steering pump, and lots of other parts and fixings
Basically I would like to know what the car would be worth in current state and what it would be worth repaired
Many thanks
Paul
Am not sure how to upload pictures so please feel free to advise me thanks

Re: Alpina b3 3.0 for sale/ value / advice
Hi Paul - valuing your car is a tricky one, there haven't been any B3 3.0 Limo's for sale in the last 2yrs and the last two that were were back in May & Jun-20.
#093 was last advertised for £4k/147k miles and having spoken to the current owner, he has ended up doing a lot of bodywork which has turned into an extensive resto. Fortunately for him he runs a body shop so less of a drama.
#261 was last advertised for £7k/106k and hasn't been seen since it's last MOT expired in Jan-21.
Otherwise, there have been a couple of coupes and a cabrio sold in 2022:
Coupe #185 sold at salvage auction £8,295/158k and apparently needed an engine rebuild
Coupe #204 sold on Car & Classic auction for £9,300/79k
Cabrio #032 sold on Collecting Cars for £11,235/44k
Generally, I would say the Limo's are less popular and yours is a Leftie which can put some buyers off with 200k+ miles, but you do have the bonus of a factory manual car. Personally, I think you will make finding a buyer easier if it's repaired and MOT'd but not sure you will see a significantly increased sale price for the efforts. In the past I would also say you'd probably find a European buyer more easily, although post-brexit the extra 20% import cost might put buyers off too.
So to sum up, I dunno! Maybe try and run an eBay auction with a reserve you're comfortable with and see what interest you get to better judge the market.

Hi Paul
Did you come to any conclusion with the car?

Not really, just testing the water, I know the car is straight and I never used any parts but genuine, I think I may hold on to it for now as I just need to find the time to get her back to what she used to be,
I just can't ditch the feeling you get when you drive this car! I have had many BMWs but Alpina are special,
