Hey guys,
I while back I rebuilt another B7 supercharger and I finally took the time to make a video detailing the process of clutch removal and bearing replacement. Worn clutch bearings typically cause pulley noise, wobbling or screeching, however this particular supercharger did not exhibit those symptoms. The clutch bearings were very difficult to spin by hand as they were packed with clutch friction pad dust and debris which saturated the bearing grease and caused added internal friction. Alpina recommends bearing replacement every 3000 engine operating hours or 60,000 miles (100,000 km) and this unit was well beyond that!
Instead of a written DIY, here is the video showing the entire rebuild process: https://youtu.be/z-VRXjlxKis
