G31 Panoramic Roof

Post by Grumpyjohn1957 » Fri Jul 02, 2021 5:17 pm

I have the habit of leaving the roof tilted when parked up and consequently the inner cover (sunshade) gets a lot of dust depositing on it. Whilst not visible from below it can be felt by slipping ones fingers through the gap between the leading edge and glass.
Any ideas for accessing it to permit cleaning?

My caveat is that I have never owned or done this to a car....but from what I am aware of as a bit of a clean freak
Air is a detailers best friend. My initial thought was a hoover, but the pipe would be too large at a guess. Keeping the Air idea in mind I have a small compressor for filling and deflating (sucker) kids inflatable swimming pools, air mattresses etc.... So this has a smaller pipe....granted this does have a small filter (inside and not a typical hoover bag thing), but could this solve your problem? How bad is the dirt. What ever you do dont blow the dust as it will end up in the sides ( iam sure you know that but still) :)
