This is slightly geographical. I also appreciate there are many good alternatives. However, have you, like me, struggled with any confidence that your main dealer is looking after your ALPINA? Understands it? Fits the right parts? Shall I go on?

I like a few other members have discovered BMR Performance at Turners Hill, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 4NP. The owner has an ALPINA and owned six. He is Barry Sherward and his colleague is Ross Ingram.

They are 100% familiar with all ALPINA models, use all original parts, better labour rate than local dealers. Will carry out work whilst you wait and are totally transparent.

I will not name the owners but currently the have a B10 V8S and V8 there and an E34. Recently restored a C2 2.7. I have my B7 serviced by them. I also had the E39 523i suspension carried out and new tyres at same time and the 435D oil service last week.
