My new car

Post by MikeR » Sat Oct 01, 2022 12:33 am

2003 S2000 95,000 miles bought from my brother in law.
Needs some TLC eg rusty wheel arch - hope the tin worm isn’t too bad…
Great to drive!
Cheers

Very nice! I had one of these back in 2003 for 5 years - was fantastic.

What exhaust has it got on? I had a full HKS on mine (including manifold) plus a HKS induction kit. It sounded wild! They are cracking cars.

Thanks.

The chaps in my local garage describe the exhaust as "one of those Chinese stainless steel systems" - presumably "cheap" - I can't quite make out the brand on the tips. It was all replaced after the catalytic converter got stolen. Annoyingly the tips are off centre in the exhaust "arches" in the rear valance, and also just touching the plastic. Same local garage has a young chap who apparently makes custom exhausts - they offered to cut, insert pieces and re-weld to remedy - all in about £300. Not sure if this is my best option to be honest.

The local garage sorted my exhaust last week - managed to speak with the owner and ended up paying £60! :dance
Now I can see the brand - Japspeed.

Quite sad - really liked it. Jekyll and Hyde - suave silver sunshine cruiser or VTEC 9K riflebolt box adrenalin rush!

Despite the TLC needed, like the rusty wheel arch, I hope it's nothing too severe. My friend's been searching for a good car, and yours looks promising. Speaking of vehicles, I got myself an Astra Honda motorcycle last year, and Honda's quality never disappoints. The Astra Honda I have is stylish and reliable.

I was very lucky to found out the guys from https://www.a1autotransport.com/astra-honda/ who helped me throughout the shipping process. They did a very good job.
