Long time no posts!
Always hankered after an Integrale. Can't afford a nice Evo - seems they're £30K plus these days...
How about "other" Integrales in the £10-20K region - daft idea?
Anyone here owned / driven one?

Can not comment on an Integrale, as my only experience with a Lancia was a 2 year old 2.0 Beta.
Biggest pile of shit I have had the misfortune to own
I am surprised that there are any Lancias left in one piece, their rust problems are legendary
I had to have a 3 foot panel welded on for the first MOT, it got quicker the longer I owned it as bits kept dropping off reducing the weight considerably
The manifold stripped its threads more times than I care to remember, Carb was always going out of tune, took me a long time to get rid,as no one wanted a Lancia.
Not surprising that Lancia have not been sold in the UK for over 20 years.
The last Lancia I drove was a Musa in Italy, up until this week it was the worst car I had ever driven.
That accolade now goes to the BMW 218d tourer, what a disgrace to the BMW name.

Re: Lanciaa
I had an 8-valve Integrale for a couple of years (back in ~1992-4?). Absolutely unbeatable on a twisty, wet, bumpy, B-road.
But....
left-hooker meant that overtaking required a great leap of faith, plus carparks where you had to reach a ticket machine were a nightmare.
turbo lag was measured in seconds - you limped onto a roundabout, then half-way round an extra 100bph suddenly came on tap.
reliability was variable. I was once filling up with petrol, when someone came over to me and said "Do you know it's coming out the bottom faster than you're putting it in the top?" There were lots of other "minor" things always needing a fix. Especially electrics.
And all that said, it was still the most fun car I have ever driven (and that includes my B4S). Hard to say why, but I think it was just so balanced. Small, nimble, unlimited grip, unobtrusive, quick!
Sometimes I regret selling it, but at the time I just wanted a car that didn't spend half its time in a garage.

Re: Lanciaa
My son had one, the 8 valve. Another car we should have kept, even if it was the most unreliable piece of s*^t ever. It wasn’t a car that you got out of and walked away, you walked round it to check what had fallen off and where the leak was coming from. I rebuilt the engine twice, it ran well after first rebuild but unbeknown to me my son bought an upgraded wastegate actuator of someone who knew less than he did and it kept blowing the pipe off to the inter cooler. There solution was to double jubilee clip it on. So it blew a hole in the pipe. The solution, fit a Samco hose and double jubilee clip it on. This is the point where I come in and have to tow the car back to the house. This time when stripped the hole is in the piston. Not really lancia’s fault but they just weren’t robust. Not particularly fast by today’s standard but in there day they were well quick. Would have been a good investment. But so would the rs2000 Mexico Sierra cosworth c2 Alpina. The only one I kept is the m3 and when I bought it if I’d had half a brain I’d have bought 3. 4.5k in 1999.

We have a small car showroom just across the road by about 100m, and suddenly they had a red Evo for sale! It was about £35k so out of my budget but I managed to get a very short test drive. Dream mildly fulfilled...
Impressions were ride was incredibly comfortable, grippy (without getting anywhere near to limits I suspect), quick, but most of all it was an event! Would still love one, keep hammering the lottery and waiting for the postman with my premium bond million every month...
