Another hour... spent polishing exhaust tips...

No matter how much fun it is to get a new (used, second-hand, pre-owned, previously-loved*) car, the initial going over and re-doing all the little bits takes up so much time

...and it gets no better/easier/less fun as time goes on. Fortunately, I love looking after our cars properly so don't resent the hours spent on doing it. Plus, I'm always finding new bits that need a little attention to detail....

I know, it's just that 'work' keeps getting then the Swear way

I've tried to persuade them to pay me to stay at home and play with my toys but, for some reason, they seem reluctant to do so

Perhaps I should be contacting a no-win-no-fee shyster to drag them into the European Courts - 'cos itz mi 'uman rites Innit <sniff>

Mmmmm.... shiny...

Hardest bit was the flat 'cut end' of the tubes, don't think that they'd ever been cleaned... unless they were supposed to be black from the factory... :?:

Oh well! they're polished now :)

It was their first polish in 17 years so I did the inside as well
Cheers Kevin,

I quite liked the contrast of black inner with polished outer... but you've got me thinking now :?:

I'm going to have to find out if the interior was factory black or polished...? If polished, that could waste some more hours this winter :?

Yea! a bit of research has shown that the insides of the RS tips are factory black - I now feel no inclination to lie on the ground polishing the inside of my exhaust tips :)
