Re: B3 (E93) Fuel Flap problem

If I read this correctly a similar thing happens routinely on the 1 series of the same era: e.g. here

A bit of a faff to sort out but doable

Re: 12 12 0 037 607 spark plugs for e46 inspection service kit

I had 3764 (as recommended on this forum) but switched to 6418 on my latest full service. An NGK technical guy told me that the 3764 was gapped the same as the original equipment but, due to its different structure, would actually put undue strain on the coils and ignition system. He suggested that ...

Re: 12 12 0 037 607 spark plugs for e46 inspection service kit

The best quality NGK for our engines (3.3 and 3.4) is BKR6EIX (6418). This is the iridium upgrade from the standard plug and 6418 is correctly gapped from the factory

Like Simon I think NGK is the best and the engines run better for it

Re: Z4M front wishbone bushes for E46

Sorry to bring this up again Simon:

You said that the wheels were moved a little further forward in the arch.

Do the wheels catch on the wheel arch liner or the arch at all, either on the straight ahead or when turning?

Re: Z4M front wishbone bushes for E46

Thanks a lot Simon!

Are you saying if you order the full Z4M bush and lollipop PN 862 and 863 they don't fit? I'd prefer not to get into the cutting out and pressing in of the old bush if I can help it

Z4M front wishbone bushes for E46

@simon13 A bit of googling suggests you need PN 31107836862 for LHS I seem to remember you recommended this replacement for the stock bushes due to more durability and caster. Could you please confirm 1) PNs for left and right (not just the bushes themselves but the housings ready fitted with the bu...

Re: 3.3/3.4 best spark plugs

Thanks both - yes I looked up what Alpina recommend but I was just wondering whether there was an improvement since the cars were first produced. The NGK website for example lists the Iridium plug I quoted before as an 'upgrade'. Obviously any improved combustion can only be a good thing. Just check...

3.3/3.4 best spark plugs

What is the best spark plug on the market for these engines? I'm currently looking at NGK BKR6EIX-11 Iridium. I know they are pre-gapped from the factory so is there a specific version of this plug I should be looking for? Thx
