Re: Pirelli P-Zero v Michelin p4s
Thank you to both of your answers. Grumpy, what you say is very interesting regarding the hardness of the compound down at 3mm. I will check thread depth and see what's what, my rears will have to be replaced soon in any event. So it might be worth getting all 4 of them done. Fast300, I would drop t...

Pirelli P-Zero v Michelin p4s
Hi, I recently acquired a G30 B5, which came with the Alpina Homologated Pirelli P-Zero tyres. Having driven it around now for a few thousands miles I am surprised by the wet grip properties (or comparable lack thereof). Granted this is the heaviest of the cars I owned so far. I came into this car h...

Decals for my E90 D3BT and E46 B3S
I am sure that this is a common question, but can anyone give me any advice as to where is it best to get a full decal set for an E90 D3 BT and a E46 B3S Coupe? A year back I was quoted £600 or so for the full set for the e90 at Sytner. That seems a bit pricey. I wonder if there are any alternatives.

Re: ALPINA brand becomes part of the BMW Group
It is a very sad day indeed. However, I hope that BMW will do the smart thing and will do what VAG did with the Bentley. It will keep the identity of the brand in tact and will ensure that the brand continues in a manner befitting to its heritage and the expectations of its customers. No doubt there...

Thank your for posting. I signed up.
Not sure if I end up coming with the B3 or the M2, however.

Fantastic work James. This is becoming one of my favourite threads here.
I look forward to seeing this one out and about soon at an event perhaps. Maybe Goodwood FoS?

Re: Why is this d5 still for sale?
I would snap it up if it was a touring! I’m still amazed we can’t buy a D5 touring given how much more popular the body shape is over the saloon. Fair enough. Isn't there something 'police car' about a 5 series based touring though? :D Have you seen a D5/B5 Touring, they’re bloomin stunning! I will...

I have seen it.
It's my favourite channel on YouTube but I have never seen the presenter before. Frankly, I don't think he did justice to the B8...

Re: G21 B3 ALLRAD #147
That's sad to see. I hope whoever was driving is OK as airbag having gone off is never a sign of a small impact (let alone the state of the front of the car) Looks like a collision on the motorway... Probably well-mitigated too by electronics and driver reaction, judging by the impact to the front.

Re: Why is this d5 still for sale?
I think most just do not want to pay £50k for a diesel Alpina in circumstances where there are other alternatives. At that price level I would probably pay an extra 5-10k and consider an E63 (V8 BT), there are ones up for £52 - 54k too. At that price I'd quite like some sensory stimulation beyond th...
