Re: G21 D3S vs G21 B3 - A Financial Arguement

Hi all, I just thought I would bump up this thread to see if anyone is willing to share what GMFV they have been quoted after 4 years, on a G21 D3S or B3. I do appreciate this will be affected by the miles covered during the term and the fact that some options may marginally improve the GMFV. I und...

Re: G21 D3S vs G21 B3 - A Financial Arguement

As far as I'm aware the specc has little bearing in the GFV. I've made several changes and never has this resulted in a change to the GFV. I doubt very much a finance house would award a car with 20" classics, Alpina Green and full Lavalina a higher GFV than one without these options. At the end of ...

Re: G21 D3S vs G21 B3 - A Financial Arguement

My D3 S Touring on order:
List £60,190
After 4 years and 32K miles it will have a GFV of £26,702.90. That's with BMWFS.
Still debating the actual deposit to put in, but the GFV is unchanged irrespective of whatever I elect to do.

Sellers incorrectly listing Alpina models

It amazes me how many sellers incorrectly identify Alpina models when advertising. Given Alpina's current model line up can be identified using the following, how difficult can it be? (-,X)(B,D)(3,5,7) (-,S) (-,Saloon,Touring) Here’s my guide for seller writing an advert on Autotrader, Pistonheads o...

Re: F31 Sat nav Screen upgrade

Firstly I think you need to determine exactly which system is in your F31. The following should help:

Re: F31 Sat nav Screen upgrade

Not that I've used these guys, but they might hace a solution for you ... https://integratedautomotive.co.uk/ Is I understand it the wider screen is an easy swap and just needs some coding for the business infotainment/nav system to correctly display on it. Your car is June '16 which as I undersand ...

Re: Alcantara options

These look really great. How much were they? I might do the sames on my D3 assuming such an option exists.

Was it simply a case of remove a screw behind the airbag badge and pull 'em upwards? I ask because installation of a dashcam will likely require a power cable to be placed inside the A-trim.

Re: the last F31 B3S

How much?! There's discussion above on this thread of a later blue B3S touring being sold by Sytner for £52K in 2018/19. £65K seems alot in today's market, especially as the new "5 star" G21 B3 is now availabe from stock (so no chance to spec - just like this used one) ... with no previousl owners, ...

Re: Dash Cam Recommendations

I think that is the BMW Drive Recorder option, but its expensive given the other options one must also select. This is exactly what it is. The BMW drive recorder needs the 360deg cameras which are part of the Parking Pro package, and the side camera are fitted to the folding mirrors, hence also nee...

Re: Interior Preferences

What are your tips for looking after that beige interior? TBH - it's fairly bullet proof as it is Dakota leather. I even transported the kids to and from rugby and just wiped it down with a damp cloth! My E91 330i had Lemon Dakota and that responded well to the damp cloth treatment every couple of ...

I wonder if the parking cameras can't be utilised with a bit of software and memory card?
That would be an interesting hack what a good idea!

When I specified my B3S 18 years ago, Nick Godfrey - the Sytner Sales Manager at the time - described it as "an English country gentleman's Alpina ... ...
