In the end, the buyer didn't pay for the car, so I still have it for the time being :D

E90 D3 11 plate #416 for sale

Hi I am putting my D3 up for auction sale here: https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2011-bmw-alpina-e90-d3 Should be going live in the next day or two. Happy to answer any questions, reserve is realistic and below what Sytner offered me for it (we decided not to buy the car we were looking at after ...

The mono-turbo engine has a very defined power band, above about 2k revs the turbo kicks in and the revs spin up very easily, below that it behaves a lot more like a normally aspirated engine. With the bi-turbo the power and torque is delivered more consistently, even at low revs, making it easier t...

Replaced my D3...

...with another D3. This is D3 BiTurbo Saloon build number 416, with Lux pack and only 28k miles on the clock when I collected it. http://theALPINAregister.com/forums/userpix/46885_img_5824_1.jpg Traded in 149 just shy of 146k miles in part exchange, which gave me over 120k miles of flawless motorin...

It pulls well to 3000rpm, not much happens after that, I even checked to make sure I had the larger turbo as I suspected it wasn't Alpina spec. Does not sound right, my MT used to go from 2k-4.5k very quickly, mileage was 100k when I traded it in and it was still as good as it was when I bought it ...

Black B3 3.3

Sat behind B3 KEM black B3 3.3 this morning at the A10 Enfield car wash. Classic wheels looked very nice, think it might have been a convertible with a hard top.

Many thanks for the tip, was sure there had to be something like this to hold my phone. Just bought 2 from the eBay link, so far so good, both Aux and charger cables are within reach of the centre console charger and Aux socket.

Graphite D3 BT, Enfield

Spotted near car wash on the A10 yesterday, FY58H?? with Classics. Rear offside tyre was almost completely flat. Could have done with a wash but otherwise looked nice.

Black ?3 Saloon, Wembley - FJnnFDE

Probably a D3, spotted in the car park next to the London Designer Outlet, notable to me because the number plate only differed from my first Alpina in the year identification.

I killed 2 rear Classics* on my MT. The Dynamics on the BT have now done over 70k and the roads are not any better.

* I still have the last one, was going to get it refurbed but bought the BT before I got round to it, if anyone is interested.

No worse than the gantry cameras that have just been turned on for the north west sector of the M25 to control the variable speed limit. First gantry anticlockwise after J18 was going off like posh and becks had just turned up (set to 50mph as most people approached it at 70...). Unless you know whe...
