I think the first reg is now £55, so that would be £445 tax, which is correct for 226-255 g/km. :(

Re: Another DVLA Road Tax post ....

So I am in the local DVLA office to UK register and tax the B3 BT that I bought in the Isle of Man. The car was first reg in Jan 2008 and having read through various posts here 2008 is apparently the cut off date for PLG/CO2 changes so I was expecting to get PLG road tax rates ... ie Alpina discoun...

Go for it. I've just repaired my brothers old Fiesta that was also an 'uneconomic' repair. 3 hours and £117 in parts. Should have it sold on Saturday, to turn a tidy profit. :D

I guess that is a stupid offer but not in the direction I was thinking!!! :D Given how many you own Chas, if it were you making the offer I'd take it as genuine, surely you must have that much down the back of the sofa  If he clears all of the loose change out of the ashtrays on his fleet, he ...

All the best and probably see you back here in the future
We're cutting down to two cars, so the Alp went in part-ex for a new runaround. I got a good deal on a Renault Wind (don't laugh), so that will be my commuter for the next few years.

Thanks for everyone's help, and I'm just sorry that I never got...

Not from me you won't.

Hopefully, the original owner is still looking in, every now and then. I must say that the car looks cracking - but wish you had posted a picture of the new mats as well.
