B10 V8 Touring newbie
Owner number 6 checking in
Good to hear the car is back on the forum and that you managed to fix the multiple tailgate issues. The electric lift/close didn't work well under my ownership but it seemed to get worse when the other half used the "force close" option!
Other than the tailgate I wasn't aware of the other issues that you listed. It sounds like you are a bit handy with this sort of thing though which can only be good news for the car
Enjoy it!

The Trafficmaster screen is in my B5 and the Road Angel is in a drawer somewhere.
I always put the Alpina roundels on my cars if only to annoy the pedants Actually Sytner fitted the ones on my B5 and even the guys at Alpina think they are cute. Best not to go there as it invariably causes a storm of protest from some owners. You need to see what we do to E-Type's, 911's and Lotus Elan's!

I'm off to see a 2003 M5 soon which had the similar OEM TV/SAT/DSP set up as my car but also has a DAB Tuner, iPod interface, CD Changer, MD Changer USB Interface all controlled through the head unit via an INTRAVEE interface set-up
I can't say enough how impressed I am with my first Alpina
P.S. Are they Alpina bonnet and boot badges in the pics?
With regards to your Intravee question it works excellently through the OEM interface no extra buttons or switches.
I have been through the same pain as you deciding what to do.
Because my car did not originally have the TV option it was a complete retrofit which with discount through BMW worked out cheaper to get the kit new from BMW than second hand through eBay ...
I wanted to go for the OEM version so updated the Nav unit to a DVD version which is much better and faster and with updated mapping software a great deal better than standard.
I added a Bluetooth unit (gen 13th) which integrates perfectly as you would expect.
Final addition was the Interavee which too more time to find a good mounting spot than to connect to the system!
I am very pleased with the system and it really works well with no extra wires or gizmos over the dashboard, which is how I like it.
With regard to the badges it is your car you make the choices they are after all a very minor mod and they are so easily returned to standard that it is not worth worrying about.
Cheers
