Perhaps think of it this way: all that could happen, could happen to a 330i - which would p!55 you off more? Paying the bucks to fix a car that will always be a run-of-the-mill 3 series, or fixing an Alpina?

Amen to that - thanks to all for the posts over the last 24 hours...my enthusiasm to buy has returned - just need to find a well looked after example. Will keep you posted -
