... a 330Ci in Le Mans Blue

Post by Simon Davey » Mon Jun 02, 2008 4:00 pm

with all the goodies...

Yes, well, I SHOULD have had a B3 BiTurbo if Sh*tners were any use at sorting out a tax disc...

Anyway managed to get a nice 330Ci after a mere half hour wait.

Very nice car, Le Mans Blue, cream leather, loads of goodies. Paddle shift. Prof Sat Nav and phone, etc. Will report more later.

Only odd thing was the patterned metal strips where the wood normally goes - looked very odd with the leather and beige dash either side...

Still, a much better result than the expected Polo 1.4

Apparently the engine has the famous 286BHP in it. Went quite well so far...

Take care all

How does the paddle shift option stand up to its name?. As i've never had the opportunity to test or drive a car with this feature

The answer Thomas, a little late of course: paddle shift nowhere near as good as the switchtronic in the Alpina. I prefer the engagement and solidity of the response to pressing the Alpina buttons as opposed to pulling the paddles.

The paddles are not bad, just that the Alpina setup which I've now driven is so much better.

I think paddles on a Fezza would be quite cool though...
