2007 Christmas Dinner - 13/12/2007

Post by neil » Thu Oct 18, 2007 4:19 pm

Ok I've made a provisional booking for our Christmas Dinner. Unfortunately I couldn't get a Friday or Saturday night but have got a Thursday night.

Thursday 13th December

Location: Tom Browns Brasserie

Time: 7.30 drinks, 8.30 meal

I've picked a location that I know serves very good food and has a good atomsphere.

Geographically it is Here in Gunthrope (Nottingham) - this is pretty easy to get to from the North (A614 down from the A1) and South (via A46 up from Leciester) although it's not that near a motorway junction.
There is a Hotel/Inn next door called the Unicorn which has 14 rooms if people are thinking of staying over. Notts Pub Guide & Bit more info on the Unicorn

I've booked 25 places which should gives us the Balcony area all to ourselves.

The night is a party night with a live act Richie Muir

The Costs is £35 / head for a 3 course meal (+ drinks!)

The bar is open to 12:30am

I need to confirm the booking and pay the deposit (£15 / person) by the 1st November so if you can let me know if you are interested as soon as possible we can get things moving...

Should be a good night ! :D

1. & 2. Neil & Sue

Christina and I would love to attend, but a 380 mile round trip for a meal
is not viable

I've had an email last night from Tom Browns->
Tom Browns wrote:We will require each person’s choices of starter, main course and dessert, by name at least two weeks before the reservation. We will then provide name-cards for your guests listing their meal choices on the evening. If your party is sitting on more than 1 table please complete a separate pre-order form for each table.

We will also need to know how your party wishes to pay for drinks, either at the bar individually or everything to be put on one bill. We do not offer individual drinks tabs at the table due to the number of people attending the evening. Please ensure your guests are aware of this also.

Drinks will be available from the bar until 12:30am; the restaurant will close at 1am.

Due to our location it is often not possible to get a taxi at this time, so please ensure that taxis are booked in advance."
Regards the drinks I suggest that we get them from the bar individually and so that is fair on everyone - as I know some people are driving etc.
