Lunch Near Oxford - Recommendations Please

Post by Hector's Dad » Sat Nov 17, 2018 12:53 am

I'm meeting a friend for lunch in early December. Oxford is roughly half way between us but neither of us knows the area. I'll be traveling from Hampshire up the A34 and he'll be coming from Warwick. Somewhere easy to find would be favourite

I usually head to the Trout Inn, nice riverside Inn with car park. Should be halfway for both of you.

Really like the Waterfront Cafe at Benson.

I'm in Warwick and often meet friends there for breakfast. Less than an hourvon the back roads to get there.

Thanks for all the suggestions - spoilt for choice but now sorted. We've gone for one in Weston - The Chequers - as it's so near J9 of the M40. Hope that's the one Norrie meant. (My lunch companion is in his 80s and not the navigator he once was!)
