Software Version

Hi,

How do you check if you have the latest software version on your car, I have updated my maps via USB which I know is separate. I can check the version on the car through settings but where can you go on BMW web site to see if this is the latest version?

Also if the car is under warranty I take it that this update should not have to be paid for, correct?

I think you will find that the Sat Nav updates are free only in the first 3 years from new.

Both our cars are over 3 years old. I think Nav updates are reasonable, once I registered on the BMW Connected Portal I was offered updates for two years at Â£79 so not bad in my opinion.

Avtar, you can find out the latest version for your car and download new iDrive software here

Just need your original BMW VIN.

I've just done it to my D5 and it improved bluetooth music streaming functionality.
