Overpriced..????

From what i can tell, this is not an original B6 2.8. According to the Alpina Archive info linked in the ad, the B6 2.8 was only available between Mar-92 & Jul-93 so as a 1996_N car, it's either a reshelled B6 or otherwise is just a 328i with some Alpina goodies.
That being said, as a low mileage E36 in the condition implied in the ad then it may still be worth good money, but probably more likely to sell through a specialist dealer than privately for anything like the asking price.
Other E36 options currently for sale:
- B3 3.0 Coupe #204: 1996_N, 79k, £13k
- B3 3.2 Coupe #017: 1997_P, 80k, £9k
- B3 3.2 Cabrio #077: 1999_T, 116k, £20k
- B3 3.2 Touring #020: 1997_P, 153k, £? (Shaziman's car which i believe is still for sale)

you could specify the car as a B2.8, thats all the parts of a genuine B6 2.8 but only mild works to the std engine (so cams, ecu and exhaust), basically along the lines of the previous B2.5 and B2.8 (e28) etc.
Thats what I took the ad to mean.

Interesting. I wonder if any engine work was done? As mentioned above the original bill of sale would clarify things.AG wrote:you could specify the car as a B2.8, thats all the parts of a genuine B6 2.8 but only mild works to the std engine (so cams, ecu and exhaust), basically along the lines of the previous B2.5 and B2.8 (e28) etc.

Maybe they placed a plastic one in place of the fabric original? BMW certainly didn't have the fabric type during this period.hap wrote:Steering wheel isn't right stitching all wrong and Middle bit shouldn't be like that has an actual raised badge which it didn't have
At best it's wheels and body kit
The wheel itself looks original, very clean but original.
