B10 e39, Angel Eye HID's (Xenons)

Post by skyetripper » Mon Sep 17, 2018 2:35 pm

As the title says, pair of fully working Angel Eye HID (Xenon, gas discharge, call them what you will) for an e39. Adjusters have been recently replaced so they're all working fine.

These are Hella units which I presume means they are the upgrade units rather than original BMW, and they come with the wiring loom adaptors. They were not originally HID units, but they come with Phillips Ballast units and the DS bulbs have been modified to fit (see pic), and I have a pair of adapter rings if anyone plans on changing the bulbs at any time.

I took them off my B10 (which is a 1997) and they fitted / worked fine. I've only taken them off because I managed to get a set of pre-facelift HID's and I prefer the look of the earlier units.

£100 posted anyone??

Are these a direct plug and play for the E39?
Could possibly do with them for #540
Any LKM errors after fitting these?
If not I'll have them please for the aforementioned £100 posted
Thanks

When I fitted Hella Xenon lights to my 97 B10 I did get an error but you can buy a cheap kit to wire in which sorts out the problem. It's an easy fix. I only removed the headlights as one of the adjusters had broken and the car failed it's MOT!! Otherwise they were great compared with the standard lights... I must get the adjusters replaced.... :D

Lights are direct plug and play and come with the converter wiring which I think are only needed if fitting to a pre-2000 car when some of the wiring fittings changed. No errors when in my B10, although I did fit LEDs for the Angel Eyes and they tend to flicker when they aren't switched on. Apparently this can be coded out but it never bothered me as I always had the sidelights on, or you can fit correct sidelight bulbs.

Ali - if that sounds OK to you, send me a PM to confirm so we can sort payment and I'll get them boxed and posted.
