Thanks all for the comments.

I plan to do a bit of driving in it today, if only to be somewhere cool. I need a little time to work out how to operate all the features - my previous car (130i) was 2006, so pre-iDrive et al. The world has changed!

@Hap, the B4S demo was Alpina Green, with an um, how shall I put this, interesting gold brown interior. It might have looked good on the configurator, but in reality, not to my taste. I could express this otherwise, but I don't want to be rude to those who chose it!

@Metrics, yeah, absolutely no excuses for kerbing. My last set of wheels were battered to death (I can't blame my wife, it was mostly me at fault). I'm hoping that the tyres having a slight overhang (as compared to my previous car) will save me from the very low speed stuff. Plus the technology of course, although they all still rely on the idiot at the wheel. (Actually with automatic-parking or whatever it's called, I suppose even that isn't entirely true any more.)

Yes that Alpina Green B4S demo interior was acquired taste - looked ok to me though.

Here's the D4 Snapper demo - now for sale:

b0ardgamer, watch the wheels - the 20s on the D4 have such low profile tyres you literally have no protection to the rim.

b0ardgamer,
I too am waiting for my new B4S, I ordered it in January and told to expect end of June delivery. it's not here. Take a wild guess as to the colour I ordered. That lovely leather you mentioned is Merino Gold/ Brown.

@avengerwrc You went for the same paintwork or the Gold/Brown leather? I *almost* loved the Gold/Brown leather, but it was just too much for me. What colour is your paintwork/interior?

b0ardgamer,
Paint is Alpina Green metallic, leather is Merino Gold / Brown. decals are gold. Plus a heap of other stuff like you, though I fail to see why I have to fork out £300 for folding mirrors, my other half's new Fiesta gets them as standard.

@avengerwrc Super! It will be worth the wait. I'm still getting to know mine, although one of the first things I discovered was that the front splitter *is* as low as I feared. I have a slight slope to the road, and as I turn out I have already grounded twice  Ah well, that is obviously why they put sacrificial bolts to protect the splitter.....

You may need to get it levelled with Tarmac or if possible approach it at an angle
