I was fuelling up my B10 a few days ago when an elderly gent came over and asked about my car, he really liked it and couldn't believe it is nearly 20 years old. After a quick chat about the Alpina marque he told me he was about to buy a lottery ticket and if he won would make me an offer for my car that I could not refuse.

So the thought that crossed my mind is has everyone got a price that would see their cherished car being driven off by a stranger? I know we live in a world where money talks and a crazy offer might be difficult to refuse but in my case I like to think the answer would be no. After nearly 16 years of ownership I see my B10 as being with me for the rest of my days, unless of course someone else knows otherwise. Rolling Eyes

Am I alone in my thinking, I like to think that is not the case.

Jim, I think that people with older Alpinas where you've kept and cherished them for a number of years will probably be of a similar ilk but anyone with a newer model could probably just go get another one of similar spec quite easily.

Although I've only had my B10 for 6 years I feel like it's part of the family and having spent time getting most things how I want them, like you I have no intention of selling.

If someone offered me the amount of my outstanding mortgage, I'd have to take it. Of course, in my new financially stable position I would then have to go out and buy another Alpina. I couldn't imagine life without one now.

It is a tough one.... I am same as many here NEVER has a car got under my skin like this one has. 8 years over ownership and 18 years old in 2 weeks and I really cant see me selling it.

Although if some one gave me enough to go straight back out and buy this one this week I could be tempted Laughing Laughing
