As above what you like or dislike about your ALPINA, or what you like and dislike about ALPINA in general?

I don't think this has been done before on the forum (happy to be corrected).

I can't say I thought of the question as the idea came from another forum.

I wish Id have stumped up the money for full Lavalina, as the interior of mine could feel more special.

It could sound better too. Although its good for a diesel I suppose.

And the F***ing stop/start being on automatically is really annoying.

Otherwise, I love everything about it!

...oh, apart from not being able to turn the traction off when its in sport mode for drivetrain only. I want to be able to 'do a skid' with the chassis in comfort.

I would like it to have a manual gearbox.

I love the colour - mora metallic.

I like that it doesn't have a sunroof.

Hi Burnham, I think I read somewhere once that the stop/start can be be programmed to be off as default.

Thanks nealpina, interesting thread.

Non Alpina here

Love the V10 noise (especially through the sunroof you all seem to want)

Disike: SMG Gearbox, no explination needed

Very Happy the noise is worth the asking price alone

B6s convertible

Dislikes:
Getting hold of Alpina specific parts that even Alpina donít know about!
Trying to keep a black car clean.

Likes:
The power.
The roof down (no sunroof issues here).
The interior feels special ( Lavalina II rocks)
Turning around to look at the old girl after parking her up.

I will echo Phil's comments - especially the specific parts bit, as I am discovering. It seems that the engine is a hotchpot of parts from 645s, 650s, Alpina's own (via third party manufacturers) and no doubt a host of other BMW models.

I have a solution to the cleaning bit - a full body respray in the coming yesrs!

I will also add to the likes:

The comfort, particularly when it comes to long distance drives
The hud
The wariness of other drivers, unlike an M car, no boy racers wanting to have a go and when it comes to drivers of more cultured cars (exception of a Mustang who was up for a blast) it is a case of let's gently proceed, nothing to prove!
