That’s why I always prefer a big wad of receipts for work done rather than a few stamps in a book!
Nice disclaimer in the advert stating buyers are only buying to replace a lost book. I’m sure no one would dream of passing of one of these as a fake service history

That is bloody awful.

How can the seller be allowed to sell counterfeit service books.
They are so brazen it makes my stomach churn.

People spend good money to service their cars at the main dealers whereas owners of badly maintained cars are spending pennies to fool unsuspecting buyers that their cars have a full history. Great!

Anyone buying a high end car these days and not checking the authenticity of the history with the dealer network is asking for trouble.

Sad how the world has become...

Personally i would be very dubious of someone with a stamped service book with no receipts to back it up?

As much that this is criminal it really creates a huge amount of doubt on genuine cars with proper service books, as not everybody keeps receipts. I did not get many receipts when I bought the V8S but did check the car out and always felt I would pull out the deal if I had any serious doubts and it did not cross my mind years ago that the service book could have been false. At least with the F30 its all in the car and no book.

I’d be more worried about a history that was just computer based in the car, probably even easier to fake!

You might be correct BarryM but this eBay scam looks pretty easy.
