Register meet at CPC in Amersham

Post by Charles » Sun Nov 05, 2017 7:36 pm

There is an extremely strong possibility that a certain Indie of my acquaintance will be running an Open Day in the spring - towards the end of April, probably - in his new and much enlarged workshop facilities.

In order that it meets as many expectations as possible and makes it a memorable and worthwhile day, I am gathering thoughts from you all as part of what is quaintly known as market research.

So, some questions for you to ponder and respond to:

Saturday or Sunday?

Burgers or Hog Roast?

Wheel alignment?

Fault diagnosis?

General advice from an extremely knowledgeable ALPINA mechanic?

What else would you like to be able to do or see on the day?

The board is empty at the moment and I am looking for things that YOU want - so please start putting some ideas down.

There is no guarantee that we will be able to accommodate everything but we'll see.

Cheers

Charles

I guess you at least need to give an indication of which geographical part of the UK this is? Is there a possibility that some people may have already used this facility?

In terms of those with warranty or extended warranty I guess this Indie would not meet the approved criteria status?

However, not all job need to be done by the main dealer and certainly a check over the underside would be good for me.

Don't mind any day, if it clashes with other commitments, I can make a decision on that. The rest is academic.

Saturday or Sunday
Three course dinner with wine
Free fuel and overnight accommodation

I think the only time I'll be able to visit Phil will be a 900 mile round trip to drop off the BT for a full service and diagnostic.

Not at this stage, Norrie - as this is just an initial fact finding about such an event in general.

Consider it a template for similar events, perhaps?

The most important aspect is that this will be a focused opportunity for ALPINA owners to get together in a highly conducive environment with good facilities, good refreshments and good advice available.

Saturday or Sunday
Trade stands selling bits (..I don't really need).
Something to keep TOH occupied. She can talk 'Alpina' for a few hours but not for a whole day!
Food and drink, lunch or dinner? If I am going to drive for more than an hour to get somewhere, then something more than a burger and chips from a van would be preferred.

OK - the secrecy can be removed...

CPC in Amersham are offering to host us on a Sunday for a Register meet with added extras - hot food, hot drinks and top knowledge/information/advice/input

So - which Sunday in the Spring/early Summer would suit?

I've amended the original thread to establish a poll for you to click on :D
