Alpina stripes which colour for my D3

Post by hicky73 » Mon Oct 30, 2017 10:14 am

Hi guys. I'm thinking of purchasing a set of decals from my local dealership for the car. Expensive I know but I just want a set. My problem is that I'm not 100% decided on the colour. My car is silver so do I go for dark silver or black on my car?
What to Have????
Any ideas guys. I'm thinking dark silver but would this have been the colour fitted to the car when new?

The challenge you have is that OEM stripes are only available in Silver or Gold, so that may not be the way to go. There are alternative sources though ...

Elsewhere, owners of silver cars have gone for Graphite (Dark Grey) stripes which look good but Black ones are too strong a contrast in most people's eyes.

I think Dark Silver, as its nice and subtle, like the car.

As Charles says original are in gold or silver only. However Sytners have had available black decals and have used them on UK cars to be supplied from new.
