The link just says bidding has ended. Any idea what it sold for? It's my old car.

Sorry - found it lower down. A little less than Sytner's gave me as a trade in middle of last year.

For reference, it had a starting price of £5k, got 3 bids and sold for £5.2k on a weeks auction with no reserve

Interesting that it was your old car, if your signature is correct and the ad is, then it’s had a haircut recently as it’s on 2k less miles now.

Mileage discrepancies aside, it’s quite a bleak barometer for the used values of other D3’s out there currently

Was it a dealer ? If not I wouldn't be surprised if it comes back up

No, it was a private sale on behalf of a deceased friend’s daughter. But it is highly likely that it will resurface on dealer forecourt very soon with a close to 5-digit asking price.

My last MOT was October 2016 with a mileage of 136633 (shows as that on the gov.uk web site plus I still have the invoice showing that mileage from the BMW dealer who did it). I traded it in in July 2017 and have the purchase documents of the new car from Sytner showing the mileage for the trade in as 147000. The MOT for August 2017 shows the mileage as 137173 which suggests it had only covered 540 miles since the previous MOT! I covered pretty much that going from Hampshire to Nottingham and back to view then collect the new car! However, it's odd if someone has bothered to clock it that they only took 10k off.

With regard to price, I'm sure that there's a significant tumble at 100k and then probably again at 150k even for diesel.

I must say I was pleased that the photos suggest it's been well cared for since it left me.

More likely explanation must be a typo/error by the proxy-seller I would guess.

The typo must also be by the MOT stations - the August 2017 one and the August 2018 one (144898) are from the gov.uk MOT history check site
