Battery question

Post by Jay_hagga » Sat Sep 02, 2017 3:58 pm

Had a couple of instances of my battery being flat if not run for a week (3-4 days ok). Drop test showed weak so popped to get another. Garage said it was an agm battery but I thought these were fitted to start/stop cars which mine is not(2007 D3). I've got software to register a new battery. Can i fit a normal lead/acid type?

Tis a bit of a grey area🙁..spoke to a mate who deals with bms and was told the battery type and ah is coded in the cas module but sometimes this can be locked out.. Shall drag the battery out to confirm what it is and get my mate to check what is coded... and go from there...

Did you try battery reconditioner? I have cdex5 and gave that ago when i had something similar. The battery has been okay for last year since i did that.

I haven't tried it yet.. am a little reluctant to purchase one if not sure will fix issue. Popping over to a local battery place on Saturday that has come recommended. They will check everything over (battery/charging/drain when off etc) and see what they say then go from there.
