What service parts do i need for my D3MT? I'm stuck

Post by hicky73 » Mon Jun 26, 2017 10:03 pm

Hi Guys,
im in need of replacing my front discs and pads on my D3 MT. Plus my handbrake pads and time for a service.
Can anyone help me? i am not sure what pads, or discs i need to purchase.

Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction on what make you may suggest, part numbers and prices. etc. has anyone gone for drilled discs or is it not worth doing?

Also with the service items what oil is required for the D3 MT? Apparently there is a certain oil i have to have if ive been told correctly!

my car is a 56 plate.
Thanks in advance.

Heres my thread on Brembo parts from GSF who quite often do discounts of up to 33% off. This was for my 2006 MT D3.

Hi Arvi,
Thanks for the post mate. Ive looked on the forwarding site and as it goes the Brembo part numbers are not on their site anymore. Sods law.

im stuck now as to what to do. i actually went to BMW Sytners today in Swansea and they were about as much use a chocolate poker on an open fire.
all i came away with was 4 different part numbers non of which they could confirm were for my car............ why i have no idea.

Anyone help me please.....im on metal to metal now lol

So i got in touch with a motor factors in swansea where i live today. spent approx 20 mins on the phone whilst they cross ref numbers with BMW and the numbers they have for their products....
Result was a set of front and rear discs, full set of pads and sensors all for £160.00. What a Nightmare.

However. i bet when i get them Friday and go to fit them on Saturday they wont fit or be the wrong ones lol. We will wait and see.
