Hi all

Does anyone know the correct part number for the cam / rocker cover gasket on the E46 B3s?

Many thanks in advance
Pete

For anyone else's future requirement - the correct part number is as follows and as suspected it's the E36 item, confirmed to me by Nottingham:-

11.12.0.034.108

Sorry for reopening the old thread, but has anyone got any idea whether this is the same for a 2000 B3 coupe?

If I were you I'd give Nottingham Sytner a call and they will confirm but I would imagine it's the same part, yes.

Yup, got it changed. Do you have a B3 or a B3S?

B3s just wondered how much the part was and rough cost to sort it pls? Did it take a while to order ? Was it the same part number as Pete suggests?
Cheers

My one was different from the B3S. I just fitted it myself. Didn't take long at all. I have the part number for the B3 in the history and can dig it out if you need. Also, it was a stock item so just picked it up in the day.

Hi Hap

Perhaps a little late replying now but it was a fairly simple and cheap fix with the part number I quoted previously in this thread for the E46 b3s.

Just be a little careful with the part because the garage I used went to my local BMW dealer for the part and they were very specific about it being an Alpina but the dealer delivered two gasket's, both of which were not correct for the car. Luckily I had already asked Nottingham the question and picked up the part myself to be sure what was being fitted.

Completely sorted the slight leak I had but as above, just make sure it's the part 11.12.0.034.108 from the E36.

Would anyone know if it is the same rocker cover gasket for the B3 3.3 ?
I know the head gasket would be different but see no reason that the rocker cover one wouldn;t be the same ?
Thanks

The parts catalogues show that it's the same base engine (US E36 M3 S52B32) and there's no different timing cover gasket listed so I'd say yes it is!
