E36 Hardline C88 Wheels wanted
E36 Hardline C88 Wheels wanted
My car is an early 92 car & currently has Softline wheels on it which are wrong as this is an early model.
I am trying to get the car close too original so if anyone has a set of hardlines for sale or swap please let me know.
Current Softlines are in very good condition
Cheers,
Dean.

Also wanted to listen to your exhaust to compare with mine.
Not to worry.

Oh yes Dean, sorry about that. Forgot all about it. You should of asked Simon or Brian to point me out as I was backwards and forwards all the time. I did spend some time looking round your car though. But you were not around at the timedtg50 wrote:Thanks MCB. No I was back & forth myself. That's the problem everything is so spread out. Simon did have a listen to it whilst parking me up & suggested it might be baffles inside.Oh yes Dean, sorry about that. May need to look at opening it up or try & find a replacement if there are any about.

I have managed to cure baffle rattle in the past. Get the car in the air then go around the boxes with a rubber mallet. When you feel you have found the offending area give that area a more hefty blow with the mallet. This will often close the distance between the outer casing and baffle and hopefully stop the rattle. What's the difference with early vs. late model wheels?
Jeff | '94 BMW Alpina B3 | '06 BMW 325XI Wagon
hidden tyre valve on the softlines and the shape of the spokes and wheel lip are rounded off compared to the earlier rims
Are those softlines staggered and will you sell if you find the right earlier rims?
I've got a set of early rims but they need refurb aren't staggered (8j's all round) and no centre caps. But they are straight and unbuckled as i use them with track tyres. Just so you know..........
