Just buy double sided sticky tape for a £1.50 a roll and only remove the sticky from one side.

I bought some a couple of month ago from my local BMW dealer (Elms) and they were about 20p each!! Perhaps you should ask another BMW dealer?

Bought some self adhesive pads from Morrisons today.... Only £1.00 for enough pads to last a few years! Result

What type did you get mate? I need to do mine. Used some rubber insulating tape before hand but it doesn't help some of the rattling!

The pads are for going under furniture but there's round pads and long strips that I cut into smaller pieces. Work a treat and at £1 they're a bargain. Will upload a photo of the pack tonight

Thanks for the pictures mate. Are they quite thick? I think i need thick ones as I get the annoying rattles even with cushioned caps !

I'd say about 3mm. Suppose you could stick one on top of another if not thick enough? I've suffered with rattly covers for ages and these work great! Thought people were admiring the motor when I drove passed but think they were actually wondering what the noise was!

Nice one Vxrich, good tip.

If the caps still rattle with pads, then the bracket holding the cap in place may be bent out of shape - carefully bend it back to make the cap locate more tightly.
