I don't know if you saw this review of the current demonstrator touring, but it is showing fantastic figures on the Alpina Digital display.

4.15s 0 - 100kph and 181 mph top speed!

Great little review, he clearly gets the Alpina appeal and is genuinely gob smacked by the car's broad talents.

Quite staggering acceleration. I've not tried launch control on mine yet, but everytime I drive it, it just makes me grin every single time.

Me too. I was out at the weekend, not driving particularly quickly, but pickup out of the corner, power and especially feel of braking, turn in and balance are just fantastic.

I arrived at the supermarket grinning from ear to ear.
