D3 Touring - Sunday Times

http://www.driving.co.uk/car-reviews/fi ... 3-touring/

This is my favourite quote:

"Still, we’re definitely in the presence of supercar performance levels — yet convincingly allied with real-world manageability."

Which is yours?

It only gets 4 stars out of 5, and only gets 3 stars for practicality! What does it need to do to get more??

We are based near Chelmsford. After reading Giles Smiths derogatory comments about the town then I would not place that much weight on his appraisal of the car.

It would appear that he knows as much about Alpina cars as he does the county town of Essex

The Driving site has been updated and now has 4 stars for Practicality - still, short of a 5 series touring I can't think of a more practical car!

And 4 stars for comfort?!?! Really. The seats are brilliant (better than the 5 series), the ride is creamy, the noise is very acceptable. How could it be more comfortable??!!

Not the finest journalism, He thinks that Alpina is a tuning house, and hates the "go faster stripes" philistine. Personally I can't wait for mine to arrive in a few weeks.
