E39 Wheel Centre cap

Post by gad-westy » Fri Mar 18, 2016 6:46 pm

I've lost a wheel centre cap from my E39 b10 4.6 (1998 if it matters). It's the type with the key lock barrel. Anybody have a spare?

Cheers. Unfortunately there are none on ebay at present. Have been offered a used one for £85 but that seemed steep to me.

So how much are you willing to spend? Also what condition would you be happy with? Do you have the classic or soft-line wheels?

A new soft-line cap will cost you about £82 I think the classic cap is about the same price. It may be a little cheaper.

Mine are the softline type. £82 new sounds fine to me. From a regular BMW dealer? Any issue with them finding part numbers? I guess I can just get it off one of the others.

I'm not sure how much I'd be prepared to pay for a used one but £50 seems about the right sort of number.

Yes check the part number on your remaining caps.

I doubt you will find a tidy cap for £50.

This is the best that I can find at the moment. It also states the part numbers so that you can be sure of getting the correct cap.
