What did you do in your ALPINA today?
The e30 shape has aged really well and this is a cracking combination, love the interior. Loved my e30 but my wife hated it although I can't actually remember her driving it but she must have.

you've got 4 shades of factory red leather interiors cardinal, crimson, oxblood and something else. I think mine is crimson its more a dark red tbh but red trims always photograph lighter than they are. Its not strictly the correct colour offered for the year of my car but we won't tell anyone! its not original as this car had clothdarren_mk wrote:That interior suits the car so well.
Must be fairly rare in that colour, what it called crimson or blood red?
They are rare and a very lucky purchase. It should have red speaker panels and carpet but i've fitted black.
Gave the car a proper run out, 330 miles yesterday up to the Lake District and this morning drove it over wrynose & hardknott pass:
I remember going over the pass on my motorbike 30 years ago and thinking why would you do it in a car 😊

Looks typical Lake District weather there today Barry!
I remember going over Honister Pass in my Caterham 7 years ago. Going over the top was a bit scary as, with the nose (long bonnet) pointing upwards, I couldn't see any road at all until I's crested the rise. Luckily nothing was coming the other way. Not yet tried it in an Alpina.

I guess that tops me 🙁, but cars coming the other way can still make some of the bends interesting 😊Hector's Dad wrote:I remember going over Honister Pass in my Caterham 7 years ago. I guess I’m fed up that I no longer want to chase after people like I used to on some of these roads, I’m loving driving the B10 up here so maybe I’m satisfied after all!simon13 wrote:why?!BarryM wrote:Staying in a small village called Comrie now so been driving around Scotland for a few days, although I’m enjoying the roads and views I’m fed up with being overtaken

Drove back home from Durham after a week in the Lake District and Scotland.
1,723 miles in 7 days and the B10 used no oil or water in that time so very happy, the car might be 16 years old but it performed perfectly.
If I had 2 small grumbles it would be that newer cars can better the 25mpg it averaged and you get quite a lot of tyre noise on certain road sufaces, but I can put up with both of those for the way it handles and goes

I managed 18.9 mpg on my 500 miles round Scotland this week but did have a few moments to enjoy the power of the V8BarryM wrote:Drove back home from Durham after a week in the Lake District and Scotland.
