Drove from london to strasbourg, arriving very early this morning. Now parked and staying on a tiny islet in the city. Alpina was faultless and it was a joy to connect for a long drive.

Had the car to the local BMW dealership (Lloyd South Lakes) for it's oil service. Whilst it isn't it's first oil service, it is the first official oil service.

Quite impressed on how the service history is stored in the onboard computer, shame it can't display the intermediate oil services due to having the service inclusive plus package.

The vehicle check they carried out at the same time was pretty comprehensive, depths of pads remaining, tyre condition and disc condition - all great to hear since i'm setting off to Bilster Berg for the Alpina Drive day tomorrow.

Joined Onzie, belted round the track in the Dry, then the wet and the. The dry again.

Great day, great company and superb cars.

Not too sure about their Pirelli choice for the B5 though, think I'll be sticking (literally as well on track) to the Michelins.

Today is the long slog home from Lille

Polished the tail pipes internally and externally.
