Jacking Plug/Puck

Post by Arvi » Thu Jan 14, 2016 2:01 pm

When I changed over to the winter wheels it was the first time I had personally jacked the Alpina up. One of the jacking plugs gave way a bit which was a surprise (or maybe not with some BMW "quality parts). Reading up on this there are pucks available that fit into the plug. Has anyone purchased these and are they the best way to jack the car up?

I use one of the pucks, but I'd check that the plug didn't give a bit due to rust which is very common on some models.

Thanks Barry, not sure why BMW would make such a jacking point so vulnerable to crumbling.
