Hello all.
I've been perusing the usual candidates to try and find a B10 V8 as a not-so-sensible family motor!
Not much luck so far, but as they aren't very common I guess I'm in for a bit of a wait. I'd prefer a facelift touring, but seeing as there is only 4 of them I'm open to whatever is going as long as it's been well cared for.
I've done some research, but one thing I'm not sure about is the early 340bhp motor. Is this pre-vanos, and if so is this a good thing or a bad thing on a ~100k car?! I can't imagine I'd notice the 7 bhp even if they were all still there. I'd be interested in hearing from people who've driven both.
Any pointers, either in what to look for or cars coming up for sale, would be greatly appreciated.

James, I think I'll count myself out purely due to the mileage. I'm sure it's absolutely fine, but I can't imagine selling it after I'd put another 20-30k on it would be particularly easy. Thanks for replying though.
