Essex Breakfast Club

Something for the petrol heads in Essex.

http://www.pieandpintinns.co.uk/pdf/bre ... ub2015.pdf

I have not been to this one before, but it has been running for five years now and is said to attract some very nice cars.

Sounds like a nice way to spend a Saturday morning. I may take the B3 touring out for a run :D

Any Essex members thinking of going to this tomorrow?

I will probably take the B3 Touring for a drive out.

It was a pretty good gathering Kevin. Even though at first glance it resembled a meeting of the Porsche Owners Club. By 10.am there was a pretty good mixture of cars. Including a BMW i8 and a Mk1 Mclaren F1. I had the only Alpina there though :D . I was surprised how much attention it attracted! Especially considering all the very expensive metal that was parked around it.

A very nice full English breakfast, served by very friendly staff. All in all it was a very pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning. The next gathering will be on the first Saturday of next month. Will post full details when I receive them.

I will try and get some pictures up if others are interested.

Just one of the cars there.

Mixing it with the big boys :D

A few pictures from last Saturday.

Only one Alpina there, but hopefully there will be others at the next meet in October.

That sure was one crazy looking car. Of course he had too do a drag start as he left. Rubber and smoke everywhere 8)

ALP is certainly not shying away or looking outclassed :)

I'm local, 16 miles away from The Hare. Had no idea there's a meet there but it does explain some very tasty motors I've seen around on Saturday mornings!

Will be there on Saturday 3rd - the PDF mentions 'Guest venue' any idea where that will be?

Sorry. I did promise to post details but forgot

The 3rd October breakfast club will be at a different venue. This is because they are opening a new pub and wanted to hold it there. But I have been told it will be a one off and further meetings will be held at the Hair Roxwell

The address of the venue for the 3rd October.

The Castle, (Formerly St Anne's Castle)

Main Road,

Great Leighs,

Chelmsford,

CM3 1NE

It starts at 9.am, but if it is going to be busy then I would recommend getting there a bit earlier to ensure a parking spot.

So it looks like it is going to be a dry but cloudy day. Will there be any other Essex members attending?

Excellent thanks - same distance for me, around 17 miles.
Are you going MCB? Anyone else fancy breakfast?
