Silverstone Classic 2015 - ALPINA Parade Lap

Post by SPA69 » Tue Feb 10, 2015 10:57 pm

THE SILVERSTONE CLASSIC, 24-26 JULY 2015. THE WORLD'S BIGGEST CLASSIC MOTOR RACING FESTIVAL

This year, as usual, the event is planned to represent all the different BMW models past and present and once again I have been allocated an area with the BMW Car Club for ALPINAs.

ALPINA celebrates it's 50th year in 2015 and to compliment this there will be a Parade lap of ALPINA cars at the Silverstone Classic on Saturday 25th July in the early evening. Hopefully we will once again be supported by Matt Stripling of Sytner Nottingham, I will confirm the full details of Sytner's involvement over the coming weeks.

The Silverstone Classic has been growing every year and today it is the World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival with around 1500 cars racing in over 24 different races celebrating a racing heritage from the 1920′s – 2000′s.

A central feature of the event will be your ability to, ‘Access All Areas’ of the grandstands, car paddocks and race assembly areas meaning you can get right up close to the thrill of the cars and chat to the drivers.
Off track there will be in excess of 9'000 classic cars on display from over 100 car clubs. A rare opportunity to admire famous marques such as Aston Martin, Jaguar and Bentley etc. (Not forgetting BMW and ALPINA !!)

It’s not just for racing aficionados. With live rock and classical music acts, entertainment, demonstrations, art galleries and shopping, fairground attractions, steam traction rallies, helicopter pleasure flights and a host of other attractions it’s a weekend of flat out fun for all the family.

Car Club Display (CCD) Code Deadline – Price increase after March 31st
Please read the following carefully.

This code is only valid until May 31st and you MUST book using code C1525011. The CCD package is the only way to obtain a relevant display pass for the event. Tickets purchased after the May deadline, or without a valid CCD code, will be forced to park outside the circuit and some significant distance from the action. Unlike previous years, I will be unable to get any more display passes for latecomers, that loophole has been closed – so don’t miss out!

Quoting our club reference number C1525011 will give you infield display parking, 2-4-1 ticket offer, together with special early bird prices if ordered prior to 31st March.

Bookings can be made online at -- www.silverstoneclassic.com OR by phone to 0871 2310849
Remember to quote the club code early on to ensure you get the correct price offers. Unlike previous years there is not a separate code for ALPINA therefore please add your name, ALPINA model and if you wish to join the parade lap on Saturday for ALPINA cars on the list below.

Once you have prebooked with Silverstone, can you please drop me a PM or e mail purebmw@btinternet.com to advise what days you are attending and what vehicle you will bring ? This is only so I can get an idea for the best parking layout for each day

Alpina parade lap

Post by Norrie » Wed Feb 11, 2015 6:11 pm

Gavin, no you do not need to be a member of the BMW Car Club GB, as this is the 50th celebration those with Alpina cars can use the same code as mentioned above, all we ask is you let us know if you want to go on the parade lap and when you get your infield car pass which will say BMW let us know if you want to park with the other Alpina cars at the event. This will mean you do not have to park in the public car park and can be with like minded Alpina owners. it is also easier for the parade lap.
