50 years of Alpina, activities
this has been a discussion point on the FB page of late. Be a shame if this remains a closed event open to the privileged few from around the world to attend.
Here's hoping the few clubs in Europe get together and maybe organise a full on 50th anniversary the same weekend to celebrate this milestone. If it were not far from Buchloe (or wherever they are to hold it) the event would be quite amazing with the full lineage of Alpina from the early days to late would be available to see.

Sorry guys, if you had sent me a shopping list, I would have considered adding bits on - but I draw the line at Pink Lavalina...!E24man wrote:Me neither Si but you guys who are going make sure you spec them up well as it's getting harder to retrofit all the stuff you scrimp onsimon13 wrote:i can't afford new alpinas so no invite for me!!
What are the most desirable bits (professional SatNav, LSD....)?

50th Year of Alpina
I have had notification direct from Alpina Germany of the event - see below.
I am driving down on Friday, staying at friends in Franfurt for a night to arrive around midday on Saturday and driving home on Sunday / Monday.
Anyone else driving down in their Alpina's??
Dear Paul,
The event starts at 2.00pm with an exhibition of ALPINA's history, current models, historic models, different departments etc., we will have dinner at 6.30pm and afterwards a party, celebrating the birthday. More details will be published by the end of February, I hope this convinces you already to come?!?

Same for me. I had an invitation from Alpina Germany in December.
I will drive from Brussels to Buchloe , depart on Friday, spend the night somewhere in between, and will return on Sunday.
My big question is "which one shall I take ?"

Received an invite a couple of months ago, I am making this my main Holiday, taking the B5 Bi Turbo.
Leaving the UK Friday and staying in mid Germany, Buchloe for a couple of nights.
Then on to some friends in Milan, on to Rimini, then back up through the Swiss lakes, Alsace and then Champagne
Should allow the B5 to stretch its legs.

It looks like new owners are being invited directly by Buchloe but members of theAlpinaRegister.com forum have the opportunity to apply for tickets via this post
Depending on demand, these invitations will be distributed in an appropriate fashion to ensure that enthusiastic owners of older models have a good chance of attending as well.
Hope this clarifies and raises your hopes by a few degrees
