Fair point but I guess ultimately boils down to fame and desirability... not many even to this day really know or get what an alpina is and this includes the motoring press

You might as well ask why Jordan is famous.., although to be fair to the CSL I'd much rather have a ride in the BMW.

Me too. The BMW has probably had less owners and lower mileage.

BOT
The CSL is pretty much the only modern BMW that will appreciate over the coming years.
The CSL stands head and shoulders above the standard M3 in every respect
and due to the limited production numbers command a high ££££ price.
Often compared to the E30 M3 in terms of handling

Also the fact she has more STI's than your local Subaru Dealership

If I wanted to spend that much money, I'd buy a brand new ALPINA D3 BiTurbo F30 :D

and btw, I've started to miss my STI

and as for the "fame" mentioned above, it's not fame but popularity between a certain part of male population ( not all of them). it's the law of markets: as long as there is demand, there will be the offer. You wanna stop this, then boys don't ask for it! Ha ha ha
And the name is Marie-Noëlle or nick name MNL, NOT Marie or Noëlle ALONE; unless if you are looking for someone else and not me!!!
Car: D3 saloon 2007 and...a couple of cats made in 2003! and a little Scooby WRX STi...

I have both and both are completely different.

The CSL is my garage queen. :-)
