Hi,
My manufacturers 2 year warranty runs out a the start of next month & I have had the BWM quote through, which is £600ish (with £250 excess) for comprehensive cover. Warranty direct have just quoted me £390 for their top cover (using BMW dealerships) which includes 13 months for the price of 12 + a few other extras.
My question is, has anyone used Warranty Direct before as the price difference is huge. It even covers damage to insured parts, that are caused by uninsured parts (tyre blow out damages the suspension etc).
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Warranty Direct
Hi there, I use them and had to claim last year for a split fuel filler pipe. No fuss from them, paid up fast.StuC wrote:Hi,

warranty direct
I used warranty direct and did not have to make a claim in that period, however on very close examination of their cover compared with the BMW cover I found the BMW cover to be superior. In the last 12 months I have had a hydraulic pump for the boot replaced and also passive control module replaced. In respect to the latter the costs paid under far outweighed the premium.
Personally I would choose BMW.

I found BMW Warranty REALLY expensive for my B3, currently at £75 per month , 335i is around £40 for the same named component only warranty, the comprehensive is around £100 per month.
Warranty Direct quoted me £580 per year. But anything over 60K miles and they pay out a relative portion of the replacement due to wear and tear.

I took out WD cover for my 08 B3 biturbo cabriolet last year as their quote was much cheaper than BMW's especially the £50 excess compared with BMW's £250! I had a high pressure fuel pump failure which was covered and they paid up pretty promptly (after the work was done for which I paid the dealer initially) All that was excluded was a hose that was about £97.
So I have to say I rate them pretty highly.
